BlackBerry will reveal 12 month road map at MWC

BlackBerry CEO John Chen was in New York this morning to help launch the BlackBerry Classic. After releasing the BlackBerry Passport and the BlackBerry Classic this year, most BlackBerry fans want to know what's next for the manufacturer as it continues its turnaround. The CEO says that he plans on revealing a 12-month road map for the company during MWC 2014 in March.

There has been speculation about a new BlackBerry model that would feature a physical QWERTY keyboard that hides when not in use. The QWERTY would consist of three rows of keys on the bottom of the phone. Two of the rows would be covered up when not in use, by using a mechanism on the bottom of the device. This might be just one of a number of new handsets under development by the company.

Back in September, BlackBerry's Ron Louks, head of the company's devices group, said that the Passport would be followed by more devices that would push the envelope. At the same time, Chen said that BlackBerry would have some new devices to show off in Barcelona this March. When was the last time that you could honestly say that you were looking forward to seeing what BlackBerry has up its sleeve?
