Director-producer Mani Ratnam suffered from heart attack in Srinagar where he was on a holiday with his close friends. The 58-year-old movie maestro Mani Ratnam, who is best known for his hit films such as Roja and Bombay. As per the news reports, on Sunday, when Mani Ratnam was playing golf at the Royal Spring Golf Course in Srinagar around 1 pm he suddenly complained of chest-pain.he was playing golf at the ‘Royal Spring Golf Course’ in Srinagar, he suddenly complained of chest-pain and he was immediately rushed to the Sher-iKashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, about 7 km away from the state’s capital.

The Source told that the director stayed at the hospital for the night before being moved to Delhi early morning on Monday, where he’s now recovering. After that, he was taken to Delhi, where he is presently under medical treatment. From Delhi, he will now be moved to a multi-speciality hospital in Chennai the Source Said. In 2004 and 2009, Mani Ratnam had suffered minor heart attacks while working on films ‘Yuva’ and ‘Raavan’. Mani Ratnam’s wife Suhasini also tweeted a picture of herself with her husband providing proof that the acclaimed director is hale and healthy.
